The EcoVadis assessment is based on four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Heraeus Medical achieved consistently high scores across all categories, significantly exceeding the industry average. As a result, the company ranks among the top 4% of all companies assessed globally and has once again received the Gold Medal, which is awarded only to the top 5%. Compared to the previous year, Heraeus Medical even improved its overall score by 3 points, reaching 77 out of a possible 100.
The EcoVadis assessment is aligned with international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000. Heraeus Medical is already implementing numerous measures in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – including the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the promotion of decent working conditions, the use of renewable energy, and the reduction of water consumption in production.
